Compensation:
Initial 90-day trial period paid on a per-project basis Opportunity to transition into a part-time position after successful completion of the trial period Potential for full-time employment as the company grows About the Position We are seeking a creative and motivated Landscape Designer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for college students, recent graduates, or emerging professionals studying Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, Environmental Design, Architecture, Irrigation Design, or related fields. Our company specializes in drought-tolerant landscapes, succulent gardens, water-wise design, irrigation planning, and outdoor living spaces throughout Southern California. Responsibilities Create landscape design concepts based on customer needs Design drought-tolerant and succulent-focused landscapes Develop planting plans and material recommendations Create basic irrigation layouts and watering zone recommendations Produce 2D and/or 3D renderings Revise customer designs (up to 2 revisions included per project) Communicate professionally with team members and customers Meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards Assist in developing design standards and processes as the company grows Requirements Experience with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Realtime Landscaping, Pro Landscape, Photoshop, Procreate, or similar programs Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to accept feedback and implement revisions Attention to detail Ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Current college student or recent graduate Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, Irrigation Design, Environmental Design, or related major Knowledge of drought-tolerant plants and succulents Knowledge of irrigation systems and water conservation practices Portfolio of previous work (school projects welcome)
Compensation Structure Small Design Projects:
Starting at $100-$150 per completed design
Standard Residential Designs:
Based on project scope Up to 2 customer revisions included Additional revisions may be compensated separately Growth Opportunity Successful candidates who demonstrate reliability, quality work, and strong communication may be offered a part-time position after the initial 90-day period, with opportunities for advancement into a full-time role as the company expands.
