Duties Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and site-specific conditions for outdoor living projects Develop comprehensive landscape designs using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, and other CAD software tools Create detailed construction documentation, including hardscape layouts, planting plans, irrigation systems, and lighting designs Produce high-quality renderings and hand-drawn illustrations to communicate design concepts effectively Conduct site analysis utilizing GIS tools such as ArcView and ArcGIS to inform sustainable design solutions Coordinate with contractors and vendors during project implementation to ensure design integrity and quality standards are met Prepare project estimates related to landscaping, hardscaping, construction costs, and materials procurement Engage in client communication throughout all project phases, providing updates and incorporating feedback to refine designs Skills Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite for design development and rendering Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles, horticulture practices, sustainable design strategies, and landscaping techniques Experience with construction processes including site surveying, construction documentation, estimating, and project management Ability to produce both digital renderings and hand-drawn sketches or illustrations for client presentations Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcView or ArcGIS for site analysis and planning purposes Knowledge of civil engineering concepts related to land surveying and irrigation systems Excellent communication skills for client interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail This role is ideal for passionate designers eager to shape inspiring outdoor environments through innovative solutions.
