Type:

full-time A leading design firm is looking for an experienced and ambitious Design Lead to join the team and play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality landscape architecture projects. This is a senior design position for a creative and technically minded landscape architect who can lead projects from concept through delivery, develop design direction, and inspire a collaborative team. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and colleagues to ensure design ambition is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design development of landscape architecture projects from early concept through detailed design and construction. Establish clear design vision, principles and narratives for projects. Develop and communicate compelling landscape design proposals through drawings, presentations, models and visualisations. Lead and mentor project teams, providing clear creative direction and constructive design feedback. Coordinate effectively with architects, planners, engineers, ecologists, artists and other external consultants. Ensure projects respond thoughtfully to context, ecology, climate, biodiversity and long-term sustainability. Oversee design quality and consistency through all project stages. Contribute to project strategy, programming, resourcing and fee management. Support the development of junior and intermediate designers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, design development and delivered work. Experience leading projects and design teams across multiple stages. Excellent knowledge of landscape materials, planting, construction and detailing. Interested?
