They are dedicated to creating functional, high-quality outdoor spaces by combining creative design expertise with strong project coordination. This organization values long-term client partnerships and offers a stable environment for professionals to manage projects from initial concept through final completion. This is a pivotal "seller-doer" role for a professional capable of bridging the gap between creative design, project management, and business development. Reporting to leadership, the successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle—ensuring designs are buildable, profitable, and executed to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities Drive Design Excellence:
Develop comprehensive landscape designs for residential projects, including detailed layouts, planting plans, and hardscape concepts.
Execute Technical Documentation:
Prepare precise design drawings, specifications, and material selections, collaborating with estimating teams to ensure constructibility.
Manage Project Lifecycle:
Oversee assigned projects from contract handoff through closeout, coordinating schedules, materials, subcontractors, and internal crews.
Lead Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact during execution, presenting designs professionally and setting expectations regarding scope, schedule, and budget.
Monitor Quality & Budget:
Conduct site walks and progress meetings to verify installations match approved designs while tracking labor usage, change orders, and overall profitability.
Generate Revenue:
Actively develop new business opportunities and support repeat business through strong design and project delivery.
Requirements Experience:
3+ years of experience in landscape design, project management, or design-build landscaping.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in landscape design software such as AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
Construction Knowledge:
Strong understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, and best practices to ensure designs are practical.
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organization and time-management skills.
Business Acumen:
A track record of generating and maintaining revenue through long-term client partnerships is essential.
Mobility:
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites throughout the region.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$90,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience
