Log Loader/Crane Operator Starting Pay Rate:

$21.43 plus $3/hr for night shift

Purpose:

Ensure efficient movement of materials and a safe yard environment for staff, truckers and contractors working in or passing through the yard; is an integral member of the Moose River Lumber safety team and will always adhere to safety protocols, while reporting conditions that may be of concern. Position Reports to : Yard Manager Position is Full-Time, Year-Round Responsibilities

• Continual keen awareness of surroundings in a fast-paced environment to prevent any potential accidents with other equipment, vehicles or pedestrians.
• Safely and efficiently move lumber from various locations in the yard to others.
• Complete daily Inspection Sheet of equipment, prior to operation. Report any equipment issues.
• Observe and follow all safety protocols at all times. Assist as part of a team to keep the mill yard a safe and clean environment at all times. Equipment and Machinery

• Proven reliability
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, twist, reach, climb and bend.

Satisfactory pre-employment physical and drug screening.
