This is a skilled chainsaw position. The selected candidate will operate a chainsaw throughout the workday while cutting railroad ties. In outdoor environment. Applicants without at least 5 years of professional chainsaw experience will not be considered. Job Overview International Tie Disposal is looking for an experienced Lumberjack to join our team in Hamlet, NC. This is a hands-on, outdoor position focused on cutting and processing railroad ties. The Lumberjack will operate a chainsaw throughout the workday and perform physically demanding work in an active production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logging, forestry, timber cutting, tree service, or other professional chainsaw operations and be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Responsibilities Operate a chainsaw to cut railroad ties Make accurate and consistent cuts according to production requirements Safely handle, position, stack, and move railroad ties and timber Perform cutting, trimming, bucking, and other timber-processing duties as needed Inspect, maintain, and properly care for chainsaws and related equipment Perform routine chainsaw maintenance, including chain sharpening and replacement Maintain a clean and organized work area Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production goals Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed Perform other duties related to railroad tie processing and production Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of professional chainsaw experience required Experience in logging, forestry, timber cutting, tree service, or similar work strongly preferred Experience cutting railroad ties or heavy timber preferred Strong knowledge of chainsaw operation and cutting practices Ability to safely operate a chainsaw for extended periods Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work throughout the workday Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Reliable and dependable Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must pass a pre-employment background check Must pass a pre-employment drug screening Must be able to wear requiredPPE Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
