Job Description

Yamhill Log Scaling and Grading Bureau has a main office in Forest Grove, Oregon. We are currently looking to fill a position in the Tillamook area
Job Responsibilities:
Measuring and grading logs, taking deductions for defects, recording scale data on a handheld computer and filing necessary paperwork.
Desired experience and qualifications:
Forestry or related background preferred. Desire to work outdoors and ability to work unsupervised is a must. We are looking for motivated individuals that want to start a challenging and rewarding career in the timber industry. Candidates must be punctual and professional with strong math and verbal skills.
Training:
2-3 month on the job training program. $22.15/hr training wage $30.57-36.08/hr after certification Full benefits package Retirement, medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave and vacation. Log Scalers are log measuring and grading specialists that play a key roll in the timber industry.
