Job Overview Join our dynamic underground mining team as an Inexperienced Underground Miner and kick-start your career in the exciting world of mineral extraction! This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with underground mining equipment, drilling machines, and surface mining machinery. No prior underground mining experience is required—just a strong work ethic, safety-minded attitude, and eagerness to learn. You'll be part of a dedicated crew committed to safe, efficient, and productive mining operations while developing essential skills in mechanical maintenance, equipment operation, and safety protocols. This position is paid and provides comprehensive training to help you grow into a skilled miner. Duties Assist with the operation of underground mining equipment, including drilling machines and heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders Support manual handling tasks like material transport, equipment setup, and site cleanup in accordance with safety standards Follow strict safety regulations and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during operations Help with the installation and maintenance of pipelines used for water or other fluids within the mine Participate in safety training sessions on OSHA standards, underground safety procedures, and emergency response protocols Support surface mining equipment operation when needed, including water trucks, tankers, or other industrial vehicles Perform routine inspections on machinery such as drilling rigs and industrial equipment to ensure proper functioning Qualifications Willingness to learn about underground mining operations and equipment handling Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in industrial equipment maintenance is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely Outdoor work experience or comfort working in confined underground environments Strong adherence to safety standards, safety protocol compliance, and OSHA regulations Experience with construction sites or industrial environments is advantageous but not required Valid driver's license for commercial driving or operating construction vehicles such as forklifts or excavators is preferred Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment Join us today to start your journey into the rewarding field of underground mining!
