Independent Contractor Compensation:

$600

• 800 biweekly, depending on experience This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in entering the telecommunications and fiber-optic industry and gaining hands-on experience with underground fiber construction.

Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who are dependable, hardworking, and ready to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Excavate trenches and prepare underground pathways for fiber
• optic cable and conduit installation
• Perform hand digging using trenching shovels, digging bars, and other excavation tools
• Assist with underground conduit and fiber-optic installation
• Operate light equipment used for horizontal boring beneath sidewalks and driveways
• Measure and prepare installation routes accurately
• Work carefully around existing underground utilities
• Repair or replace PVC irrigation lines when necessary
• Backfill, compact, rake, sweep, and restore work areas after installation
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to assigned job locations
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all applicable jobsite and safety requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience in underground construction, telecommunications, fiber optics, landscaping, irrigation, utilities, or similar work is a plus but is not required.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Ability to work in Arizona outdoor conditions
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Dependable transportation
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Contractor Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable truck or SUV capable of transporting tools, equipment, and materials
• Current proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of underground construction
• Required basic tools for completing assigned work
