Job Description

Production Miner - Haul Truck Driver Turner Mining Group - 3.2 Mojave, CA Job Details Full-time $26 - $28 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Front-end loaders Truck driving Mechanical excavators Mining or extraction Loader operation Mining equipment maintenance Underground mining equipment operation Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Production Miner Turner Mining Group is North America's trusted partner in contract mining—delivering safer, more productive operations that make life better for the industry. As a Production Miner you will sit in the cab of the machines that move earth, ore, and overburden every shift. Your work directly determines whether our clients hit their tons-per-hour targets and whether every teammate goes home unhurt. This is high-impact, hands-on mining with a company that puts people first. Performance Objectives Operate excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and drills to meet or exceed daily production quotas while keeping equipment utilization above 90 percent. Execute drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling sequences that consistently deliver target material volumes with minimal re-handle. Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and report defects immediately so that unplanned downtime stays below 5 percent. Follow every MSHA and site-specific safety protocol so the crew records zero recordable incidents. Partner with supervisors and maintenance to identify process improvements that raise tons moved per hour or reduce fuel burn. Support reclamation and overburden placement that keeps the pit in compliance and ready for the next phase of mining. Environment & Resources You report to the Site Superintendent and work alongside a tight crew of operators, drillers, and mechanics. You will have modern heavy equipment, on-site maintenance support, and a safety budget that never gets cut. Sites are typically surface mines and quarries producing aggregates, limestone, specialty minerals, or metals. Essential Qualifications Proven ability to run large mining equipment (excavators 50-ton+, haul trucks, loaders) in a production environment. Current MSHA Part 46 or 48 certification and a clean safety record. Track record of hitting daily production numbers while protecting people and machines. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and in all weather conditions typical of surface mining. Mechanical aptitude to perform basic daily maintenance and communicate issues clearly. Role Selling Points People-first culture that treats operators as the most important asset on the property. Opportunity to work across multiple commodities and sites as Turner grows nationwide. Direct line of sight from your shift's tons to client success and company reputation. Investment in newer equipment and safety technology that makes the job more productive and less punishing. If you are ready to move more material, more safely, and be part of a team that is changing mining for the better, apply today.
