QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalency preferred
EXPERIENCE
On the job training provided, Previous manufacturing or foundry experience preferred - Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action Male/Female/Veteran/Disabled - National Career Readiness Certification preferred
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Must have good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to multitask and meet production goals and deadlines. Must be team-oriented and have good communication skills. Must have great attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis. Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Must be able to perform elevated work on an occasional basis. Some tasks require repetitive activities. Must be able to stand on concrete up to 8 hours. Must be willing to cross-train within the classification. Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required personal protective equipment. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to maintain a clean workstation and clean equipment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Must be able to identify the cores necessary for each mold. Must be good at putting together puzzles Must be able to read and identify a traveler Must become familiar with wanding parts Must have good communication with your supervisor to identify molds that are ready for pour Must be able to identify defects in cores Must be able to identify and remove fins. Must be able to operate rotary tools for grinding and drilling holes in sand cores Must be able to sit for up to 30 minutes occasionally Must be able to work in both a team and individually when necessary Must have good memory retention Must be able to read dial indicator gages Must be able to put together multiple layers and understand what a cope and drag are Must be able to apply mud to cores to seal seams Must be able to clean and prepare the core for molding These job duties are not all inclusive. The Company, from time to time, may require the incumbent to perform additional duties as assigned.
