TRAVEL IS REQUIRED 4 WEEKS OUT OF TOWN 1 WEEK IN TOWN

Position:
Underground Foreman Qualifications:
At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States. Valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License. Basic knowledge and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely. Basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely. Experience in the utility construction industry is a must. Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities. Effective communication skills with customers, employees, etc. Ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs. Knowledge and experience of horizontal directional drill (HDD) machines. Confident in locating underground utilities and proven field experience. Ability to maintain a safe work environment. Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Complete general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the CM/PM. Perform all phases of underground construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of construction materials and equipment. Dig using hand shovels and mechanical tools. Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling. Climb in and out of equipment such as trucks, cars, backhoes, and trenchers. Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery safely. Work in congested or remote areas. Maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement. Perform general construction work under the direction of the Foreman/Supervisor. Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies. Complete other duties as assigned.

$16.00 - $35.00 per hour
