Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bolt-Up Technician to join our team and contribute to the efficient assembly and installation of underground mining and surface mining equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale industrial projects, ensuring safety, precision, and quality in every task. As a Bolt-Up Technician, you will be instrumental in supporting the construction and maintenance of critical mining infrastructure, helping to drive productivity and safety standards in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Assemble and bolt together heavy underground and surface mining equipment using power tools, manual tools, and specialized machinery. Operate drilling machines for precise hole placement required for bolt installation, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications. Follow safety standards in production by adhering to OSHA regulations, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe work environment. Conduct manual handling of heavy components, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury while managing industrial equipment. Assist with the installation of horizontal drilling systems and other underground mining equipment, supporting underground coal mine operations. Perform welding tasks as needed to secure components and ensure structural integrity during bolt-up procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, safety checks, and compliance with safety protocol adherence. Requirements Proven experience operating drilling machines and heavy equipment used in mining or extraction industries. Knowledge of underground mining equipment operation, including underground coal mine experience preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment such as Caterpillar machinery or water trucks. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including OSHA regulations and safety protocol adherence. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor work settings. Experience with surface mining equipment operation and construction site experience is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards. Strong understanding of welding techniques, horizontal drilling processes, and industrial equipment maintenance. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
