Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Blaster, CDL driver (Hazmat) and general laborer to join our drilling and blasting operations team. In this vital support role, you will assist with blasting activities, ensuring that all procedures are carried out efficiently and in strict adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in heavy equipment operation, drilling, and blasting processes within a dynamic setting. Duties Assist licensed blasters with the setup, loading, and firing of blasting charges in underground and surface mining environments Support the handling and transportation of explosive materials using industrial equipment such as skidsteer, excavators, or magazine trucks Perform manual handling tasks including loading, unloading, and organizing tools and supplies in compliance with safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of drilling machines, blasting equipment, and surface machinery to ensure proper functioning Follow all safety standards and regulations related to explosive handling, heavy equipment operation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage Maintain accurate records of blasting activities, equipment inspections, and safety checks in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines Assist in adhering to environmental and safety regulations during drilling, blasting, and material transport operations Qualifications Prior experience working in a surface drilling environments is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment such as drilling machines, excavators, skidsteer and hazardous material truck Familiarity with safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and safety protocol adherence Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Outdoor work experience with exposure to varying weather conditions is preferred Basic understanding of horizontal drilling or construction site operations is a plus Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts is advantageous Strong commitment to safety regulations related to underground mining, construction sites, or oil & gas operations Join us in a role that's energized by teamwork and driven by safety!
