Who We Are Wolverine Fuels, LLC produces high-quality, clean-burning coal sold to markets throughout the world. We are a highly competitive coal company that serves the Western US power generation industry and export markets. Based in Sandy, UT, the company employs over 950 and has an annual productive capacity of 7-9 million tons of thermal coal. The Assignment As a Mine Monitor Technician at Skyline Mine, you keep a steady, accurate flow of information between underground crews and surface support throughout the shift. This role exists to help maintain safe, organized operations when activity is high and time matters.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and document radio/phone traffic and key status updates in real time Track personnel, equipment movements, and shift activity with strong attention to detail Relay clear, timely messages and escalate issues quickly when conditions change Maintain orderly records and communication logs during a busy night-shift pace Required skills/qualifications: Ability to communicate clearly in stressful, fast-moving situations Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused while multitasking Comfortable working independently on an onsite contract role If you can stay calm, keep information straight, and support the crew through clean communication, apply today. Night Shift Flow You start by getting a clean handoff from the prior shift, then settle into a steady rhythm of updates coming in from multiple directions. The pace can spike without warning, so you prioritize what's urgent, keep your notes organized, and stay ready to switch tasks quickly without losing accuracy. During the 4pm-4am schedule, you'll spend long stretches focused and working solo, with frequent check-ins and quick decisions to keep information moving. You finish by closing out documentation and passing along a clear, complete summary for the next shift.
