Position Summary Place folding paperboard cartons into gluing machine feeder to form a completed product and/or place finished cartons into shippers.
Responsibilities:
Keep glue line feeder filled with cartons at designated height determined by operator Monitor quality of cartons being feed into machine. Check for marking or damage to cartons and contact operator if quality problems are noticed. Contact manager if not fixed Insure that correct cartons are being processed—check case labels to product Monitor glue being applied at front of line to insure all glue applied correctly. Insure that glue is not leaking onto flaps, is not visible or causing glue leaks and has good glue bond Monitor gluing line for problems and notify operator/supervisor when necessary Insure that finished product is packed to meet quality standards specified by customer Check to determine if cartons fit snugly in box to minimize damage in transit to customer Determine correct number of cartons that can be stacked in each case so cartons in row remain consistent Check to ensure that box labels are correct for item being processed before applying to case and apply labels as required by specifications or SOP Must be able to work overtime as needed Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the plant, inside and out Assist with weekly cleanup, perform daily housekeeping tasks Report to operator when machine down to be released to Finishing Manager for other duties While holding case, prepare needed items for case and do random carton inspections every case Other duties as assigned by

Experience:
High school diploma or GED or equivalent job related experience
Equipment:
Use pallet jack if required
Physical Requirements:
