Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Petroleum Equipment Service Technician to join our team and support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of gas station fueling equipment and associated systems. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex machinery and control systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations at retail fueling sites. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude combined with electrical diagnostics expertise to keep equipment running smoothly. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on petroleum dispensing equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, sensors, and industrial controls. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams (P&IDs), calibration tools, multimeters (voltmeter, ohmmeter), and other precision instruments. Diagnose faults in electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits while adhering to electrical safety procedures. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and control system diagrams to identify root causes of malfunctions. Program and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation components to optimize equipment performance. Conduct field service activities involving sensors, vision inspection systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other automation devices to ensure operational excellence. Requirements Proven experience with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrical diagnostics, and industrial maintenance in a field service environment. Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with expertise in troubleshooting equipment using schematics, P&IDs, electrical blueprints, and calibration tools. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial controls, sensors, vision inspection systems, and electrical instrumentation. Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and perform engineering troubleshooting on complex control systems. Experience working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems while following strict electrical safety procedures. Proficiency with tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, Calypso software (or similar), AutoCAD, and other diagnostic instruments. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues efficiently. Relevant experience in industrial electrician work or automation within petroleum or similar industries is highly preferred.
