This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable working off-site at fleet and commercial locations , performing a wide range of services including recalls, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and DOT inspections . About the Role As a Fleet Mobile Service Technician, you'll operate a dealership-provided mobile service vehicle and service commercial and fleet vehicles at customer locations, helping minimize downtime and keep business customers on the road. This position requires strong technical skills, independence, and professionalism when representing Aaron Ford on-site. Key Responsibilities Perform manufacturer recalls, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet and commercial vehicles Conduct DOT inspections and compliance-related services Complete preventative maintenance services (oil changes, brakes, batteries, filters, belts, etc.) Diagnose check engine lights, warning indicators, and drivability concerns Communicate clearly with fleet managers and commercial customers regarding vehicle status Accurately document work performed using dealership systems Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked mobile service vehicle Follow all OEM, dealership, and safety procedures Qualifications Automotive technician experience required (Ford experience preferred) Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience with fleet, commercial, or medium-duty vehicles is a plus DOT inspection certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work independently in a mobile environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable using tablets and digital repair orders What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and certifications Stable daytime schedule (limited evenings or weekends) Dealership-provided mobile service vehicle and tools Supportive service leadership and dispatch team Opportunity to work with a growing fleet and commercial customer base Career growth within the Aaron Ford organization Locations Aaron Ford of Escondido If you're a technician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working directly with fleet customers, we encourage you to apply.
