This is not a desk Service Manager position. We are looking for an experienced equipment technician who wants to continue working on equipment while taking ownership of the technical performance of a small Service department. The right person would be one of the strongest technicians in the shop and would also help lead the other technicians.

Responsibilities include:

Diagnose and repair zero-turn mowers, compact tractors and other outdoor power equipment Troubleshoot gas, diesel, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems Handle difficult diagnostic jobs Set the pace and technical standards in the shop Help assign and monitor technician work Train and develop less-experienced technicians Oversee quality control and reduce comebacks Work with our front Service team to keep jobs moving Continue producing billable repair work personally We're looking for someone who is technically excellent, productive and dependable . This position is best suited for someone who takes pride in getting equipment fixed correctly and wants more ownership than a traditional technician position provides. Howe Equipment is a growing outdoor power equipment and compact tractor dealership in Jackson, Michigan. This is an opportunity to help build and lead a Service department rather than simply being another technician in a large shop. We're looking for someone who wants to become a leader and key technical person in our company , not simply another technician receiving work orders.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
