Position Summary We are seeking a Gas Technician / Chimney Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position involving chimney inspections, repairs, fireplace installations, venting systems, gas-related work, and masonry-related projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, working outdoors, and providing high-quality service to homeowners. Working in construction, roofing, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, installation, warehouse, delivery, or another hands-on job? Your experience may be exactly what we're looking for. Northeastern Masonry & Fireplace Inc. provides training for motivated candidates who have strong mechanical ability and are willing to learn our industry. What You'll Do As a Gas Technician / Chimney Technician, you may: Inspect chimneys, fireplaces, venting systems, and related components Diagnose fireplace, chimney, and venting issues Perform chimney and fireplace repairs Assist with or perform gas fireplace and appliance installations Work with fireplace venting and furnace exhaust systems Complete masonry and chimney restoration work Install chimney caps, liners, flashing, and related components Work safely on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding Use hand and power tools Load and unload materials and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate professionally with homeowners Explain findings and recommended repairs to customers Follow company procedures and safety standards We're Looking for Someone Who Has previous experience in a skilled trade or hands-on position Has mechanical ability and enjoys troubleshooting Is comfortable using hand and power tools Is comfortable working outdoors Is able to work on ladders and rooftops Can perform physically demanding work Is dependable and arrives ready to work Has a strong work ethic Can work independently and as part of a team Communicates professionally with customers Is willing to learn chimney, fireplace, venting, gas, and masonry systems Experience in HVAC, gas service, fireplace installation, chimney service, roofing, masonry, construction, maintenance, plumbing, appliance repair, or another skilled trade is especially valuable.
