This pivotal role involves coordinating drilling projects, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment operation, and mechanical systems, with a passion for driving safety and productivity on well sites. A great candidate will have expertise in large-diameter water well drilling up to 2,000 feet. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all drilling operations, including water well drilling projects, ensuring timely and efficient project execution. Supervise drilling crews and heavy equipment operators, including drill rigs, mud systems, including desilters, desanders, shakers, and other critical equipment. Supervise and manage crews in drilling operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Perform and oversee mud rotary, reverse air, straight air, air development, pump development, and well rehabilitation. Handle geophysical logging, deviation surveys, and all aspects of well development. Collaborate with engineering teams to plan drilling strategies, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize performance. Ensure construction site safety standards are strictly followed, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to OSHA regulations. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project workflows. Maintain detailed records of operations, safety incidents, equipment maintenance, and project progress for reporting purposes. Skills Proven expertise in drilling operations, particularly for 16-inch finished casing wells drilled with mud and reverse air methods to depths of up to 1,000 feet below land surface. Experience with pump development, acidization, and well rehabilitation. Clean driving record with a CDL license (required). Knowledge of safety courses, welding, and general mechanics. Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage crews effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
