Job Description
Job description Established Crude Oil Company is in need of Oil Field Pumper/Lease Operator in the Grand Rapids area. Main office located in Grand Rapids, MI, Goodale Enterprises is looking for a Full Time Oil Field Pumper to maintain wells and facilities in the Grand Rapids area. This individual will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of each well in their designated area.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Well Monitoring:
Visually inspect pumping units, valves, and flow lines to ensure consistent operation and identify leaks, pressure drops, or gas blow-offs.Gauging Production:
Measure and record fluid levels within production tanks. Manage the separation of oil, gas, and water, and coordinate with oil haulers to prevent tank overflows.Routine Maintenance:
Perform basic mechanical repairs and service pumps, motors, and gauges. This frequently involves greasing moving parts, changing water filters, and tightening packing or belts.Data Logging:
Document daily production volumes, pressures, temperatures, and equipment issues for compliance and payroll.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure the site meets environmental regulations and company safety standards to prevent spills and hazardous incidents.Requirements Physical Stamina:
Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift 50-70 lbs. for long periods, climb ladders & walk on uneven surfaces.Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; previous oilfield or construction experience is often preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.Certifications:
Valid driver's license (CDL often a plus).Skills:
Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, read a tape measurer, have legible writing and work at heights or in confined spaces. Work Environment This is a labor-intensive job, frequently working 12-hour shifts in varied, often harsh, weather conditions. Requires traveling to remote well sites.
