Job Description

Western operates contract drilling services across Canada and maintains a United States presence through Stoneham Drilling. Within Canada, Western also provides well servicing and high-quality rental services to support a broad range of customer needs. Across all operations, the company remains committed to safe, efficient, and reliable energy service solutions. Stoneham Drilling is hiring Motorhands to join our growing team! Joining the Stoneham team gives you the opportunity to start or grow your career! The Motorhand is responsible for the maintenance of the equipment specifically related to the engines on rig location. This position is accountable to ensure all equipment is clean and operating properly, assist the Derrickhand and Driller on the drill floor, and ensure completion of log sheets and maintenance records. Will also assist in general housekeeping at rig location. Duties and Responsibilities Regularly maintain drilling rig engines, transmissions, heating systems, generators, motors, hydraulic systems and other mechanical equipment Monitor inventories for fuel, oil filters, lube oils, greases and other service items Maintain equipment logs and preventative maintenance records as required Participate in pre-job safety meetings, hazard assessments and emergency response drills Identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and equipment hazards immediately. Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the rig site Work as part of team, communicating and mentoring crew members Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous drilling rig experience working in Motorhand position Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to pass pre-employment testing Fluent in Written/Spoken English Be willing to work in all weather conditions and work environments with work away from home for periods of time Valid certificates required for the position What We Offer Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) Savings Plan Motorhand position is full-time seasonal position.
