Job Description

Job description: Benton is seeking to hire a Natural Gas Foreman for our San Antonio area. A minimum of 3 years' foreman experience in natural gas construction or underground utility construction is required. At Benton you will be joining a team that has been ongoing for 100+ years with competitive pay, great benefits such as medical, dental & vision and supplemental insurance packages. The duties will include, but not limited to, supervision and assignment of all work done by the work crews, personnel actions, training, instructing, and customer relations with all clients. This is to be accomplished through manpower, material and equipment scheduling and tracking. Foreman qualifications include but are not limited to:
  • Experience in the field with 3+ years in related construction industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's license, as well as a clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Utility line locating experience
  • General knowledge of construction practices
  • Must be competent in the law, regulations, and identification of underground utility locations.
  • Any necessary Foreman Qualifications required by Customer
  • Pre-employment drug screen test is mandatory
  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises the work crew and delegates work activities throughout the day. Recommends changes to work schedule in order to improve productivity.
  • Must be able to perform all aspects of utility construction to include, but not limited to preparation, operation and closing of job site, welding and plastic fusion and proper testing of work completed.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent or Managers.
