Full Job Description Job Summary:
T.E. Stevens Construction is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator - Class A with at least five (5) years of experience operating various heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, and motor graders . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery and must strictly adhere to OSHA and MSHA regulations on all job sites.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and motor graders on construction and site development projects Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors to perform duties accurately Cut, grade, slope, and finish to required specifications using dozers and motor graders Excavate trenches, remove earth, load trucks, and perform other related tasks with excavators Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment Ensure safe operation and awareness of surroundings, including working near utilities and other personnel Communicate effectively with ground crew, foreman, and other operators for coordinated work Follow all company safety policies and comply with MSHA and OSHA safety regulations Properly use GPS or laser-guided grading systems when applicable Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipmentWork Environment and Physical Requirements:
Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditions Regularly required to sit, climb, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift Exposure to loud noise, dust, heavy machinery, and uneven terrain Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all timesBenefits:

Minimum of 5 years' experience operating bulldozers, excavators, and motor graders Must be able to read grade stakes, blueprints, or site layouts Familiarity with GPS or automated grading systems is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to safety and detail Must be dependable and demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality Must be physically able to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions Willingness to travel to different job sites as neededABOUT US
