Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and become a vital part of construction projects that build communities and infrastructure. In this role, you will expertly operate a variety of heavy machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and precise execution of construction tasks. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience will drive project success, contributing to the creation of durable structures and roads. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery with precision and safety. Manage various types of trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials efficiently across the site. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation tasks like grading, excavation, and moving materials such as concrete mixers or farm machinery. Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks, ensuring timely completion of project milestones. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational logs for accountability. Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on machinery. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving construction-related vehicles including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and project workflows. Ability to operate farm machinery and understand the mechanics behind various types of heavy equipment. Knowledge of concrete mixers and other specialized construction tools is a plus.
