Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, particularly hydraulic excavators to include long reach excavators, used in construction, excavation, excavation in water, and loading trucks. Duties include safely operating equipment such as excavators (located on a barge or on the edge of a riverbank) to remove materials, grade surfaces, and assist with site preparation.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment, particularly excavators (on a barge and/or riverbank), safely and effectively. Inspect equipment daily before operation and perform basic maintenance and cleaning as needed. Follow site and company safety policies and procedures. Communicate with site supervisors, crew members, and other operators to ensure efficiency and safety. Grade, level, and excavate surfaces according to specifications. Load materials. Keep accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator (2+ years preferred). Proficient in operating an excavator from a barge or similar type platform. Experience operating machinery with GPS capability. Valid driver's licenses or Id card. Knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
Expected Hours:
40-80 hours per week (weather dependent)

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 80.0 per week
