Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate efficient project completion while adhering to safety standards. Your expertise in handling heavy equipment will help ensure smooth operations on-site, contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers to move materials and complete construction tasks efficiently. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Assist with material handling tasks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and front loader trucks. Conduct pre-operation checks on machinery, ensuring all safety features are functional before use. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines on busy construction sites. Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety inspections. Requirements Proven experience operating a variety of construction machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks. Construction site experience with knowledge of site safety protocols and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving and tanker operation preferred. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on heavy equipment. Familiarity with hydraulics systems, hand tools, and material handling equipment operation. Ability to adhere strictly to equipment safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong understanding of construction machinery maintenance routines and safety regulations. Experience working with concrete mixers, farm machinery, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is a plus.
