Job Description
HENDERSON SAND & GRAVEL COMPANY SEEKING MINING - HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / LABORER LOCALS PLEASE APPLY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Safely operate motorized and heavy equipment.
- Routinely operate tools and equipment.
- Muck and clean debris (sand, rock, etc.) daily.
- Operate various plant equipment required to perform the job (stationary and mobile).
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
- Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required.
- Work without close supervision once directed on task.
- Adhere to all quarry safety rules and encourage safety.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Mining and Mine Operation.
- Welding / Fabrication.
- Preventative maintenance schedules.
- Routine inspection and preventive maintenance.
- Applicable methods, materials, equipment and techniques.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Basic math skills and measuring tools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a maintenance technician within a mine setting.
- Must have current MSHA certification.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must have own transportation.
- Must be able to read, write, listen, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to muck and clean debris (sand, rock, etc.) daily.
- Must have heavy equipment (front end loader, dozer, excavator) operation experience.
- Mining or related industry experience.
- Must be flexible and capable of learning several different jobs in the department (will be expected to perform any number of assignments involving a variety of equipment and hand tools during the shift).
