General Summary A HydroVac Operator is responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging. Essential Job Functions 1. Regular and reliable attendance. 2. Prepared and on time for scheduled shift with proper PPE. 3. Responsible for Daily Shift validations. 4. Must possess a valid Class A Driver License with tanker, air brakes and Hazmat Endorsement. 5. Ensuring that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies and processes while working in safe manner at all times. 6. Perform industrial tank cleaning, utility work, facility shutdowns, emergency response and site remediation. 7. Must be available for emergency response and various rotating schedules. 8. Maintain all DOT requirements. 9. Have appropriate licenses and certifications to operate the equipment being used. 10. Perform Pre-Route Journey Management Plans. 11. Must participate in crew safety tailgate meetings. 12. Must be available to travel and work throughout California. 13. Perform tasks assigned by PLW or Supervisor. 14. Utilize Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions arise. 15. Develop knowledge of KSI PPM-SOPs and review the SOP prior to each task. 16. Follow all KS Industries, LP safety, and customer policies and procedures. 17. Shall perform all physical and mental requirements listed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and write in English Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions in English Ability to communicate with employees and various business partners in a professional and courteous manner. Knowledge of Lock Out/ Tag Out process Knowledge of technology (iPads, cellphones etc.) Knowledge of Stop Work Authority (SWA) Ability to complete training for Behavioral Safety Process Ability to work in confined spaces for long periods Education and Experience Have 1 years of industry experience along with knowledge of tools. Physical & Mental Requirements Less than 1% 1% to 33% 34% to 65% 66% to 100%
