While experience is a plus, we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain heavy-duty tow trucks efficiently and safely. Provide towing services for a variety of vehicles, including commercial trucks, buses, and other large vehicles. Respond promptly to service requests and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all parties involved. Secure vehicles for transport using appropriate equipment and techniques. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members. Maintain accurate records of services provided, including mileage, time, and any additional charges. Perform basic maintenance tasks on tow trucks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Requirements:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Double, Triple, and Tank endorsements. Clean DMV driving record with no major infractions or accidents. Proximity to tow yard or willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance. Ability to operate heavy-duty tow trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions. Strong mechanical aptitude. Physical ability to lift heavy objects. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator. Familiarity with towing equipment, such as winches, cables, and hooks.
