Daily operating and maintaining of large machinery used in construction, demolition, or excavation projects in a safe and efficient manner. Main duties and responsibilities include Operating heavy machinery to perform construction-related tasks, such as backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, skip steers or grade tractors Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment Recognizing and reporting any mechanical or safety issues with the equipment Ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and diagrams to determine appropriate operations Coordinating and communicating with other construction workers to ensure efficient task completion Adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to construction, safety, and equipment operation Load and unload heavy materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles Excavate, move and grade earth, erect structures, and pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. Understand and follow directions from supervisors. Adapt to varying working conditions and adapt to changing job requirements as needed. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Ensure that all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner. Qualifications Proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Trailer towing experience. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of various heavy equipment. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations. Ability to read and understand technical and operational manuals. Good physical condition and stamina, able to work in various weather conditions. High school diploma or GED. Valid certification to operate heavy equipment (preferred). Must have a valid Class A driver's license.
Pay:
$30.53 - $36.77 per hour
