Overview Turner Staffing Group is partnered with a quarry in Hinkley, CA that is looking for an Excavator Operator. This is a key production role responsible for efficiently loading haul trucks and supporting material movement across the site. Key Responsibilities Operate an excavator to load haul trucks with overburden, ore, or aggregate material Maintain consistent production rates while minimizing spillage and rework Ensure proper digging and loading techniques to maximize efficiency and equipment longevity Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions Follow all site safety policies and MSHA regulations Communicate effectively with haul truck drivers, dispatch, and supervisors Maintain clean work areas and assist with general production support as needed Qualifications Proven experience operating an excavator in a mining, quarry, or heavy civil environment Strong understanding of loading patterns, material handling, and production goals Valid driver's license required MSHA certification (preferred; may be required prior to start) Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety Reliable transportation and consistent attendance What We're Looking For Operators who can load safely, efficiently, and consistently Individuals who understand production targets and take ownership of performance Team players who communicate clearly and work well in a fast-paced environment
