Compensation $39.58 per hour Job Summary As a member of the reclamation and/or aggregate crew, the Equipment Operator is expected to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of mobile equipment. Activities include completing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and operating equipment while completing site related reclamation, production, and sales activities. As a member of the team, the equipment operator may be required to assist with maintenance, repair, operations, and housekeeping around the plant as requested by Reclamation Superintendent or Aggregate Manager.Equipment includes:
834 Compactor/Motor Grader, Loader, Dozer, Blade, Excavator, Rubber Tire Dozer.Shift:
12:00pm- 8:30pm
- With overtime and weekend work requirements. Main Responsibilities Complete Daily pre/ post equipment inspections
- report as needed Ensure areas under your scope of responsibility remain in environmental compliance and complete any needed environmental reports Ensure fill is placed in accordance with Fill Operating Plan (FOP) and regulatory guidelines Ensure site remains compliant with all MSHA, OSHA and EPA standards Inspect equipment prior to shift for safety, environmental and maintenance defects Inspect wear items on equipment & report as needed to shop, foreman, and management Load hoppers and trucks with limited spillage Maintain adequate cleanliness of equipment Perform housekeeping (clean, shovel, remove trash and debris) to ensure a safe, clean and complaint operation Report any defects to shop, foreman and management Monitor ground conditions in area you are operating Other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience 3-5 years previous mobile equipment operational experience on various models of bull dozers, excavators, loaders, blades, RTD's For Excavators•Must be able to set and load trucks efficiently to optimize production and be able of utilizing rock breaker and/or processor attachments For Dozers•Must be able to carry a flat grade and adapt to fluctuating terrain including steep slopes.
- Must be able to minimize overloading of customer's trucks and remaining complaint with DOT weight restrictions For RTD
- Must be able to carry, cut and fill grade as needed and re-grade stakes.
