Job Description

Project Location and Description Our company is based in Riverside, California, where administrative coordination, staffing, and operational planning are handled. However, this position is not located in Riverside. The actual job site and daily work will take place in Mojave, within Kern County, California. Work at the Mojave project site may include loading, hauling, transporting, and organizing equipment and materials, along with site maintenance and general support for crews and daily operations. Applicants must be willing and able to work at the Mojave/Kern County job location. Employees should also be prepared to work outdoors in desert conditions, including high temperatures, wind, dust, and changing weather. Laborers, CDL Truck Drivers, and Heavy Equipment Operators will work together at the Mojave site to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient operation while supporting projects throughout the surrounding Kern County area. Job Summary We are seeking dependable, hardworking Laborers, CDL Truck Drivers, and Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. Successful candidates will assist with transportation, site preparation, equipment operation, material handling, and general project support. We are looking for safety-conscious individuals who work well with others, follow instructions, and take pride in completing each job efficiently and professionally. Opportunities are available for candidates with varying levels of experience. Key Responsibilities Laborers Perform general construction and site-support duties. Load, unload, carry, and organize materials and equipment. Assist operators, drivers, and other crew members as needed. Prepare and clean job sites. Use hand and power tools safely. Follow all company safety procedures and supervisor instructions. Perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions. CDL Truck Drivers Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and manual-transmission vehicles. Transport equipment, materials, and freight to designated locations. Complete local, regional, or over-the-road routes as assigned. Secure loads and assist with loading and unloading when required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate driving logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation. Follow all FMCSA, DOT, company, and cargo-safety regulations. Use GPS and route-planning tools to make safe, timely deliveries. Must have experience hauling equipment and other materials. Heavy Equipment Operators Safely operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, graders, or similar equipment. Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, material movement, and loading activities. Inspect equipment before and after use and report maintenance or safety concerns. Work around underground utilities, vehicles, workers, and other job-site hazards. Follow project plans, signals, and supervisor instructions. Assist with general labor duties when equipment is not in operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications Relevant experience in general labor, commercial driving, construction, or heavy equipment operation is preferred. CDL driver applicants must hold a valid CDL and have an acceptable driving record. Required endorsements or certifications must be current for the vehicle, equipment, or materials being handled. Applicants must understand and follow workplace, transportation, and equipment-safety requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attendance, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely. Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to changing job-site conditions. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
