Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman Loomis, CA 95650 Up to $80 an hour - Full-time Up to $80 an hour - Full-time About the role Lead an underground utilities crew (sewer, storm, water distribution) on a long-term, prevailing-wage project in California. You'll operate heavy equipment, direct daily work, maintain safety and traffic control on busy public streets, and deliver high-quality work to plan/spec. What you'll do Operate and oversee: backhoes, excavators, water truck, and dump truck. Lead, schedule, and coach a crew to hit production and quality targets. Build/repair sewer, storm drain, and water systems; work in highly congested ROW. Read plans, set grades/layout, coordinate with inspectors and subs. Enforce site safety, trenching/shoring, traffic control, and stormwater BMPs. Pitch in as needed with pipe laying and laborer tasks. What you bring 2+ years operating heavy equipment and foreman or lead experience preferred. Plan reading and basic layout competency. Comfortable performing pipe layer / laborer duties. Underground utilities experience (dry & wet utility knowledge a plus). Strong verbal communication and organization. Experience on Caltrans-adjacent projects (traffic control & stormwater BMPs) is a plus.

Have you worked on a Caltrans or state-highway project (or within Caltrans ROW)? if Yes, please mention the project name, year and your role. You're installing pipe at 8-12 ft depth in Type C soil along a busy street. Provide a quick answer or plan on how you would perform this.
