The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a Loader and perform the following functions:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- other duties may be assigned: Operate heavy equipment of various types used in mining operations, such as Cat 992 loader. Load and unload company and commercial trucks; remove overburden and waste material; transport and dump waste materials at approved sites. Maintain quarry organized. Transport production blocks, waste material and equipment as required. Properly follow company and MSHA safety procedures. Bring equipment/safety problems to the attention of the mining supervisor or Safety Director. Follow daily procedures and protocols as required by quarry supervisor. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor; clean equipment. This position requires a valid California driver's license and at least two years in the operation of heavy construction equipment - QUARRY operating experience a plus.
