You will report to the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Senior Field Technician or Project Foreman on site. This position will be in the field, based out of our Modesto CA office. How you can make an impact: Operate an excavator on pipelines and for remediation work or several types of power construction equipment for trench excavation and grading work, such as excavators, front end loaders, rough terrain extended boom forklifts, bulldozers, backhoe, dump trucks, water trucks, shovels, tractors, rollers, etc. Operate a compactor (roller) to compact soils. Help with drilling projects by moving and lifting materials into drilled gas wells for well completion. Help with hand shoveling when excavating near utilities or sensitive areas. Follow Codes of Safe Work Practices for Heavy Equipment Operation, Trenching, Backfilling Operations and Well Construction. Report any malfunctions or equipment problems to the Project Superintendent/Manager. Checks equipment before operation to make sure safe, proper fuels, oils, lubricants and hydraulic fluids are full. Work with other SCS-FS personnel and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
3+ years of excavator operation experience required. Experience in the solid waste or utility industry preferred. Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing required. Comprehensive knowledge of equipment practices. 40 Hour Health and Safety, and Trenching Excavation Safety training. Must meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. Unassisted), hand excavation/digging (using shovels/picks), carrying and climbing ladders, operating and working from man lifts, operating electric tools, (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools, (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), and providing services under various weather conditions.Pay Range:
USD $30.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.Additional Information:
