Job Description

Overview Jefferson State Highways, Inc is a growing non union contractor specializing in public works contracts for Caltrans and other government entities. Our primary scope of work for this position will be drainage construction and site work. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders etc. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Execute tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials as required by project specifications. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure safety on site. Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery. Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any issues encountered during operations. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy machinery Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety practices. Ability to read project plans is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Pay:
$98.64 - $110.00 per hour
