The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators, to assist in construction projects and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. $25 an hour 2pm Start to 11:30pm Monday through Friday plus some Saturdays Duties Operate excavators and other heavy equipment on construction sites to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and trenching. Load and unload materials using dump trucks and water trucks as needed. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities and maintain project timelines. Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site. Assist in horizontal drilling projects when required, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators and loaders. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively. Experience with commercial driving is a plus for transporting materials on-site. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is desirable. Ability to operate dump trucks and water trucks safely within a construction environment. Strong understanding of construction site protocols and safety measures. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Capability to build strong working relationships with colleagues while maintaining professionalism on-site.
