Burrtec continues to grow through co. acquisitions and successful bid proposals. Burrtec is a family owned company that firmly believes the key element to our success is knowing how important each employee is in the organization. We are currently looking to fill an Equipment Operator I position at our Victorville location. The Equipment Operator handles a combination of any of the following equipment relating to the recovery of material: forklift, baler, wheel loader, sortline.
SALARY RANGE
$25.65/hour - $27.65/hourESSENTIAL DUTIES
Operate a combination of any of the following equipment: Forklift for movement of recycled materials Sortline panel controls (may provide guidance to sorters) Baler to prepare material for shipment Wheel loader to load sorting line conveyor Inspect equipment daily and report unsafe conditions Stop operation of any malfunctioning equipment Follow safe work practices and adhere to safety rules. Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment Perform other duties as assigned by SupervisorKNOWLEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Good judgment skills and ability to recognize equipment problems. Ability to communicate in English.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record, required Previous forklift experience and familiarity with the operation of various powered equipment is desirable.PHYSICAL
Ability to operate forklift, loader, baler, bobcat and sortline equipment. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.WORKING CONDITIONS
