Job Description

Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers and various others Install water, sanitary and storm sewer structures and pipe systems
  • Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor
  • Cut pipes to required lengths
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using mechanical connections and fittings as required Occasionally provide direction to laborers and trucks on site Various labor duties on job sites Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Perform daily pre and post trip inspections Fuel and grease equipment daily Comply with all company health and safety guidelines Responsible to provide own personal protective equipment Other duties will be assigned as required Skills 3-5 years of previous heavy equipment operating experience and pipelaying required Previous experience in the excavating industry is a must Working knowledge and understanding of reading drawings, reading locates and setting grades Must be safety conscious Excellent team player Great communication skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record Must be punctual and personable Must be willing to travel to Salida and Canon City.
Wage Starting $20/ Hr depending on experience
