If you are a dedicated, motivated professional we encourage you to apply. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator at Viking Construction, Inc. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, performing excavation tasks, and ensuring the safe and efficient use of equipment. This role requires working on-sites throughout Connecticut, primary in Fairfield County but not limited to.Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate any, or all of our heavy equipment, including Bulldozers, Excavators, Articulated Trucks, Forklift, Skid steers- (Majority CAT equipment) Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity oriented with strong professional work ethics Demonstrate the ability to pull level grades.

d) CMP e) SDR f) ADS. Demonstrate the ability to lift and set: a) Head Walls b) Structures (bases, tops.) Perform a daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and preventive maintenance responsibilities Operate equipment productively, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions Perform tasks that have to do with site development/heavy equipment operations as assigned or directed by the Site Superintendent Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures. Know where all utilities within the work zone are located.Qualifications:
7+ year's experience running heavy equipment Capable of operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient using CAT controls Valid Driver's License Ability to communicate, follow directions and have own transportation CDL A or B (a plus, not required) P6 or P7 License (a plus, not required) TOP CON- GPS / Machine Control (a plus, not required) OSHA 10 (minimum) Compensation
