Rooter of Connecticut is hiring an experienced Excavation Equipment Operator. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused operator who can handle underground sewer and water-line excavation projects from start to finish. Minimum Requirements At least two years of excavation equipment operating experience—mandatory Experience operating excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, and related equipment Experience digging around underground utilities Ability to perform trenching, grading, backfilling, and site restoration Understanding of trench safety and proper shoring procedures Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, CDL Preffered Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong work ethic, good communication, and professional attitude Responsibilities Excavate for sewer, water, and drainage repairs and replacements Safely load, unload, and operate excavation equipment Assist with site preparation, utility locating, and work-zone setup Maintain equipment and complete daily safety inspections Coordinate with plumbers, technicians, laborers, and project managers Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe Participate in emergency and after-hours work when required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round work Health insurance Paid time off
