What You'll Do Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
Operate and maintain mobile baler as well as additional processing equipment such as cranes, loaders to assist with on-site recycling operations
Loading truck may require: securing chains across the width of a trailer to secure the product, both on the bed of a trailer and in an overhead rack, tarping of loads on trailers, and dropping and hooking a trailer
Transport Scrap materials safely and efficiently to designated processing facilities and client sites
Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours
Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order
Perform additional duties as needed
What You'll Need Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
No DUI or DWI (within the last 5 years)
No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in previous 3 years
No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics
Pass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T.
Driver must be knowledgeable in D.O.T. Regulations/Requirements
Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday; which may include some overtime
Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains, drops and hooks trailers, performs inspections and reaches to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
Builds strong relationships by actively listening and responding to client needs
Excels at managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision
Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
