Job Summary EHC Construction is seeking a dedicated, safety-conscious Loader Operator and General Laborer to support a variety of civil infrastructure projects, including road construction, site work, and public works. This role combines equipment operation with hands-on labor tasks to support efficient and high-quality project execution. Candidates must be able to work in outdoor environments, occasionally during night shifts, and in varying weather conditions. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and commitment to safety are essential.Key Responsibilities Operate Loader & Other Equipment:
Safely operate loaders, rollers, and related equipment for site preparation and material handling.General Labor Duties:
Perform manual labor including shoveling, lifting, raking, and site clean-up.Assist Skilled Crews:
Support foremen, equipment operators, and skilled workers with materials, tools, and physical labor.Maintain Clean Work Sites:
Keep job sites organized and free from debris and hazards.Support Roadwork and Sitework:
Participate in grading, paving, and installation of infrastructure components.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and wear proper PPE at all times.Equipment Maintenance:
Assist with cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining tools and equipment.Adapt to
Weather:
Work in diverse outdoor conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.Night Work:
Be available to work occasional night shifts as required by project schedules.Other Duties:
Perform additional labor tasks as assigned by supervisors.Requirements:
Qualifications Must be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or GED preferredExperience in construction labor or operating loaders/rollers preferredPhysically fit; able to lift 50+ lbs and perform demanding tasksWillingness to follow instructions and collaborate with team membersBasic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and methodsStrong focus on safety and attention to detailReliable transportation, a mustFlexibility to work some nights, weekends, or overtime as neededWorking Conditions:
- Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind)
- Physical labor including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements
- Exposure to noise, dust, and typical construction site hazards
- PPE must be worn at all times
