Heavy equipment operation: 10 years (Required) Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Excavator and Grade Operator to join our dynamic construction team. This role requires a minimum of ten years of hands-on experience operating heavy machinery on construction sites. As an essential member of our crew, you will be responsible for efficiently managing excavation, grading, and earth-moving tasks to ensure project accuracy, safety, and timely completion. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise with various equipment will be vital in maintaining high standards of quality and productivity throughout all phases of construction projects. Responsibilities Operate excavators, graders, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, water trucks, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety awareness. Perform excavation and grading tasks according to project specifications, ensuring proper depth, slope, and alignment. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to guarantee optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to interpret plans, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate earthworks. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks; report any issues or hazards immediately. Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations to promote a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Minimum of ten years of proven experience operating excavators and other heavy construction equipment in a commercial or large-scale construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery models such as excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and backhoes Demonstrated expertise in construction site operations with a focus on earthmoving, grading, and paving Valid driver's license Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices; ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans accurately. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
