Department :
Operations Reports to : Plant Manager Position Overview The Plant Production Operator is responsible for the safe operation of processing equipment and heavy machinery. Key Responsibilities Monitor and adjust plant equipment to ensure the product is consistent and free from quality defects. Maintain accurate records of equipment settings and product quality information. Follow established equipment operating guidelines and recognize issues as they arise. Communicate with supervisors and team members effectively. Operate wheel loader and forklift equipment safely and efficiently. Report on condition and items in need of maintenance. Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
Previous experience in plant or industrial manufacturing operations or other related fields. Loader and forklift experience preferred. Skills Familiarity with basic tools and equipment. Adept at handling complex machinery. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills. Ability to handle a physical workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, and around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures. Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
