Heavy civil and highway contractor searching for an experienced operator to join our team! We specialize in excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), city and county municipalities, and private residential and commercial developments. General Job Responsibilities:
3-5 years experience on heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, front-end loaders, skid steers, graders, etc. Be able to operate machinery efficiently and effectively and demonstrate safe handling of equipment. Ability to excavate material within close proximity of existing utilities and roadways in a safe manner. Assist team members with shoveling, lifting pipe, and securing machines and the site at the end of the shift. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation. Load or assist with loading materials or equipment. Prepare pre-trip equipment prior to mobilizing to job site. Assist in securing the work site and equipment. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Always communicates effectively and courteously with fellow teammates and members.
