As a key player on our crew, you will help build and maintain essential infrastructure while ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on every job site. Candidates must reside in to be considered for this hands-on role that offers growth opportunities and a chance to develop valuable skills in civil infrastructure construction. Duties Assist with the preparation and setup of paving sites, including moving materials and equipment into position. Operate paving equipment such as screeds, rollers, loaders, and concrete mixers to ensure smooth asphalt and concrete surfaces. Maintain and perform basic repairs on construction machinery, ensuring all equipment functions safely and efficiently throughout the project. Follow safety regulations and protocols diligently to protect yourself and your team during all phases of paving operations. Measure and verify material quantities using basic math skills, ensuring proper mix ratios for asphalt and concrete applications. Support rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete pumping tasks as needed to meet project specifications. Collaborate with team members to adhere to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and project timelines, maintaining quality standards at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure projects is highly preferred. Knowledge of paving equipment operation, asphalt paving techniques, and concrete work is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance is a strong plus. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders, rollers, pavers, screeds, and concrete mixers confidently. Familiarity with safety regulations including OSHA standards and DOT regulations for highway projects. Basic math skills for measuring materials, calculating quantities, and reading project plans. Valid commercial vehicle or commercial driving license is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety protocol adherence; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
